Yesterday ended the 2018 edition of the well-known Annecy Festival, with new records, prizes and much more and, above all, the announcement of the 2019 edition with Japan as a host country.
The 2018 Annecy International Animation Film Festival award with the Cristal for a Feature Films the movie Funan by Danis Do, co-prodution between Belgium, Cambodia, France and Luxembourg created with classic 2D animations tells the semi-autobiographical story of a woman (mother of the director) to find her other son who disappeared during a forced march in a labor camp during the fall of Phnom Penh in 1975.

Jury Award, Audience Award and Best Original Music for a feature film The Breadwinner by Nora Twomey, co-production between studios in Canada, Ireland and Luxembourg.

Jury Distinction di La Casa Lobo, a Chilean feature by Cristóbal Leon and Joaquín Cocina.

- Jury Award and Audience Award to Weekends by Trevor Jimenez (USA)
- "Jean-Luc Xiberras" Award for a First Film to Egg by Martina Scarpelli (France, Denmark)
- Jury Distinction to Biciklisti by Veljko Popovic (Croatia, France)
- Off-Limits Award (tied) to Garoto transcodificado a partir de fosfeno by Rodrigo Faustini (Brazil) and to An Excavation of Us by Shirley Bruno (France, Greece, Haiti)

TV productions:

- Cristal Award for a TV production to PIG: The Dam Keeper Poems "Yellow Flower", "Hello Nice to Meet You" directed by Erick Oh (USA, Japan)
- Jury Award for a TV special to The Robot Chicken Walking Dead Special: Look Who's Walking directed by Thomas Sheppard (USA)
- Jury Award for a TV series to We Bare Bears "Panda's Art" directed by Daniel Chong (USA)
- Cristal Award for a Commissioned Film to Leica "Everything in Black and White" directed by Mateus De Paula Santos (Brazil)
