The second feature film by the young Latvian author and director was awarded on Saturday at the latest European Film Awards.
Flow - A World to Save is a film capable like few others of speaking a universal language. Praised by critics around the world, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in Annecy, where it won 4 awards, the film is directed by the very young Gints Zilbalodis, given by Variety as one of the favorites in the race for the Oscar.

Last weekend it also triumphed at the European Film Awards where it was nominated together with Living Large by Kristina Dufková, Savages by Claude Barras, Sultana's Dream by Isabel Herguera and They Shot the Piano Player by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal.

Synopsis: In a world where humans seem to have disappeared, the arrival of a flood forces a cat to seek safety on a boat, together with a colorful group of animals. Between landscapes of dazzling beauty and unexpected dangers, the journey will make everyone understand that unity is their true strength.

The film does not use dialogue and is co-produced by the Parisian studios Sacrebleu and the Belgians Take Five, together with the label opened by Zilbalodis himself Dream Well.
