We are heartbroken to report that the legendary master, director and Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata has passed away yesterday Aprile 5. He was 82 years old.
The news was reported by Yahoo! Japan.

"Thank you for all the beautiful stories. A legacy for the past, present and future generations of dreamers all over the world."
