From videogame to anime - Trailer for Ni no Kuni

Read...
Warner Bros . Japan has released the first videos of the film Ni no Kuni , based on the videogame with the same name, created with the help of the artists of Studio Ghibli.
The videogame developed by Level-5 was produced in 2010 and featured amazing fantasy visuals, the result of the work of the artists of the well-known animation studios founded by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.

The studio did not collaborate in the making of this film, but only few names are notable, including Yoshiyuke Momose, director of this project (former Ghibli employee and director of videogame's animations) and the multi-awarded composer of the main Ghibli's films Joe Hisaishi.

The animations will be produced by OLM studios (Pokémon, Inazuma Eleven), with Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino as executive producer and Warner Bros. Japan as distributor.

Main characters of the film are the young student Yu and his best friends Haru and Kotona who, after an accident, will acquire the power to travel between their world and a fantastic one. But when Kotona's life will be in danger, the three will face a difficult choice.

In Japanese theaters on August 23, here three new videos and a teaser trailer:
