On Tuesday, Studio Ghibli held a memorial service at the Ghibli Museum for director and studio co-founder Isao Takahata, who passed away last month at the age of 82.
Many colleagues and friends who had the fortune to work alongside the Master were present at the small ceremony, but all eyes were obviously on his friend and co-founder of the study Hayao Miyazaki, who delivered his first public words about Takahata’s passing.
