The 2020 anime titledGreat Pretender has announced a sequel already in production. Watch the first information and a promo below.
The Japanese Wit Studio has announced, via the official website of the Great Pretender franchise, that a new season of the anime titled Great Pretender Razbliuto will be released worldwide in 2024.
Most of the staff of the original anime have been confirmed, with Hiro Kaburagi director and, in the new season, also author of the series composition together with Taku Kishimoto, with the script author of the first season, Ryota Kosawa now script supervisor. Mai Teshima is promoted as assistant director and Shosuke Ishibashi takes on Kyoji Asano's role as chief animator, supported by Hirotaka Kato. The design credits do not include Keita Shimizu but only Akiyo Okuda and Shosuke Ishibashi. The artistic director Yusuke Takeda also returns, joined in the new season by Yumiko Sudou.
Expected in 2024 in Japan on DMM TV and on Crunchyroll in over 200 territories around the world, below you will find the first promo and a visual focused on the new character "Dorothy":
