Hidari - stop-motion samurai film project on Kickstarter

Read...
An interesting project of an animated feature film created in stop-motion entitled Hidari arrives on the well-known crowdfunding site. Below we show you the 5-minute pilot and a making-of.
The artist Masashi Kawamura, director of advertising projects and commissioned films, starts an interesting and complex samurai film made entirely with stop-motion animations and wooden characters.

Produced by Dwarf, Whatever Co. and Tecarat, the story is inspired by the life of Jingoro Hidari, a Japanese sculptor said to have lived in the Edo era and whose true identity (or even existence) has never been confirmed. Many wood carvings are attributed to him, which inspired this project. Between fantasy and historical facts, the project is an action film of which a pilot of about five minutes is currently being made.

Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign [ link] the author wants to make a feature film whose production will take at least 4/5 years.
