A story that convinces its authors so much that they think about it on multiple media. It is the case of Cyberpunk which after the videogame now becomes an animated series.
CD Projekt Red, the company behind the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, will produce the animated series starring Rafal Jaki as showrunner and executive producer, and Satoru Homma, Bartosz Sztybor and Saya Elder as producers.

The animations are produced by the Japanese animation studio Trigger, with a visual style very much in line with the stories and settings. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series together with assistant director Masahiko Otsuka, creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designer Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) and a Yuto Kaneko (Little Witch Academia). The scripts are written by Yoshiki Usa (Promare) and Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare ), while the author of the original score will be Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).

The 10-episode series tells the story of a street kid who tries to survive in Night City, a futuristic city obsessed with technology and body modifications. Risking everything, the protagonist chooses to survive by becoming an "edgerunner", or a mercenary outlaw also known as cyberpunk.

Available on Netflix from September 2022, here's a teaser trailer and exclusive clip "Maelstrom Gang":
