Star Wars: Visions - first images of the anthological anime series

Read...
Yes, you have not read it wrong, we are talking about Star Wars and Japanese Anime. The project is titled Visions and below we show you the first images.
A very special project, an "anthological animated series", however, commissioned to some of the best Japanese animation studios. One of the rare journeys of the well-known American franchise to Japan.

Disney therefore follows the work of Tim Miller and Netflix with the series Love, Death + Robots in the creation of short animated films with self-conclusive and unrelated stories, with creative freedom totally left in the hands of Japanese artists.

Here is the list of the shorts and studios involved:

- The Elder - studios Trigger
- The Village Bride - studios Kinema Citrus
- Tatooine Rhapsody - Studio Colorido
- Lop & Ocho - Geno Studio
- T0-B1 - studios Science Saru
- The Ninth Jedi - studios Production I.G
- The Twins - studios Trigger
- The Duel - studios Kamikaze Douga (Batman Ninja)
- Akakiri - studios Science Saru

A project produced by Lucasfilm's Jacqui Lopez, James Waugh, Kanako Shirasaki, Qubic Pictures's Josh Rimes and Justin Leach.

Still in progress, the Star Wars: Visions series will be available on the Disney+ streaming platform from September 22, 2021.

Here are the first images and the voices of the authors waiting for the first trailer:
