Studio Ponoc's The Imaginary on Netflix in July
The news of the arrival of the anime film The Imaginary on the well-known streaming platform has been released, making its world debut after its release in Japanese theaters.
After the news of the agreement between the young Studio Ponoc and Netflix for the worldwide distribution of its films [news ], comes the news that all fans have been waiting for: the date on which the last film produced by the studios will be available outside of Japan.
The Imaginary (orig. Yaneura no Rudger) is the second feature film produced by the young Japanese animation studio founded by Yoshiaki Nishimura, born in 1977, long-time producer working at Studio Ghibli.
The film tells the story of Rudger, a boy born from the imagination of the young Amanda that therefore no one can see and who lives in a world where the imagination can live and be eaten by others. An extraordinarily touching and beautiful hand-drawn fantasy film in which Rudger and his new friends from "The Imaginaries Town" embark on an adventure where the future and fate of those they love is at stake.
The Imaginary will land on Netflix on July 5 and in a selected theaters in American territory to allow the film to be qualified for the next Oscar Awards.
