Netflix will distribute films from Japanese Studio Ponoc

Read...
The news released a few days ago by Netflix is very interesting for all fans of Japanese animated cinema. And it was anticipated with the poster of the latest The Imaginary.
The streaming platform brings home an important contract that places it increasingly in the foreground on the aspect of animated productions coming from the rising sun.

The young Japanese animation studio founded by the former Studio Ghibli producer, Yoshiaki Nishimura, followed by numerous former artists of the popular studios, immediately demonstrated great quality with the very first titles produced Mary and the Witch's Flower and Modest Heroes.

A multi-year distribution contract that "reflects its founder's goal of a new beginning for world-class animation created in Japan that can inspire and entertain audiences around the world".

The first film, announced by the platform with a poster, will be The Imaginary, released in Japanese theaters last December, which will be available on Netflix probably within the year.

You can find the latest trailer on our pages at this link.
