Star Wars in anime - first animations for the series Visions


Star Wars and Japanese Anime met in the franchise's first anthology series. Disney shows us the first animations of the project.


Star Wars: Visions, the new and anticipated animated series produced by Lucasfilm and seen from a new and single point of view: the oriental one of Japanese animation.

After the first details we gave you last month [news], today Disney shows us the first and interesting trailer of the 9 short films of which the first season is composed of.

Specifically, the shorts are:

- The Elder - studios Trigger
- The Village Bride - studios Kinema Citrus
- Tatooine Rhapsody - Studio Colorido
- Lop & Ocho - Geno Studio
- T0-B1 - studios Science Saru
- The Ninth Jedi - studios Production I.G
- The Twins - studios Trigger
- The Duel - studios Kamikaze Douga (Batman Ninja)
- Akakiri - studios Science Saru

"Lucasfilm is partnering with seven of the most talented anime studios in Japan to bring their signature style and unique vision of the Star Wars galaxy to this inspired new series," said James Waugh, executive producer and Lucasfilm Vice President, Franchise Content & Strategy. "Their stories showcase the full spectrum of bold storytelling found across Japanese animation; each told with a freshness and voice that expands our understanding of what a Star Wars story can be, and celebrates a galaxy that has been such an inspiration to so many visionary storytellers."

The series will be available on Disney+ streaming platform from September 22, 2021.
