Mononoke - The first anime film of the new trilogy on Netflix

Released in Japan this summer, the anime film Mononoke The Movie: The Phantom in the Rain will soon be coming to Netflix.
Spin-off of the anime Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales, follows the medicine seller from the "Bakeneko" story arc.
Gekijoban Mononoke: Karakasa, internationally Mononoke The Movie: The Phantom in the Rain, was released in Japanese theaters on July 26, recently winner of the "Satoshi Kon" award at the Fantasia Int. Film Festival (Canada).
It is the first film in a planned trilogy whose second will be released in Japan in March 2025.
The film is directed by the anime director Kenji Nakamura but produced by different studios: Twin Engine and EOTA. Among the other artists on the staff we find Kitsuneko Nagata author of the character designs, Yuichi Takahashi director of the animations, Kenichi Shirai director of the 3D scenes and Taku Iwasaki author of the music.
