The new film by the master Hayao Miyazaki finally presents itself with the very first animations published by the American distributor GKIDS. Find the video below.
The Studio Ghibli film with the most expensive budget ever, with the official title Kimi-tachi wa Dou Ikiru ka? (literally "How do you live?"), internationally: The Boy and the Heron, is inspired by the 1937 novel by Genzaburo Yoshino.

Ghibli's description of the film, written in poetry form, reads:

A young boy named Mahito
yearning for his mother
ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead.
There, death comes to an end,
and life finds a new beginning.
A semi-autobiographical fantasy
about life, death, and creation,
in tribute to friendship,
from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki.

After having earned $50 million in Japan boxoffice and over 5 million tickets sold, the film will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival tomorrow, September 7, and in Spain at the San Sebastián Festival on September 22 and at the New York Film Festival on October 1, while it will arrive in American theaters on December 8.

After choosing not to release any promotional material at home, the film presents itself outside the borders with the very first teaser trailer subtitled to allow us to enjoy the first and extraordinary minute of Miyazaki's new work:
