Historical fantasy anime Shabake debuts in 2025

Aniplex has released the promo for the new anime Shabake, based on the novel of the same name. Info and video below.
The novels' story written by Megumi Hatakenaka is set in Edo, and centers on a sickly but kind-hearted young man, and the mysterious spirit that watches over him.
The television anime is directed by Takahiro Okawa at BN Pictures. Touko Machida (Lucky Star) is supervising the scripts, Akari Minagawa (The Perfect Prince Loves Me) is designing the characters, and Rei Ishizuka (The Orbital Children) is composing the music.
The original publication dates back to 2001, followed by numerous sequels and 10 million copies in circulation. Shabake has also inspired two live-action series, manga, radio dramas, plays, musicals, illustrated books, and a net anime in 2021.
