One Piece Anime goes on hiatus, but new content is coming

Read...
The long-running anime One Piece by the brilliant Eiichiro Oda is going on hiatus for six months, interrupting the current saga. But there is some news.
Toei Animation has announced that the One Piece anime is going on hiatus with the last episode just aired, episode 1122, interrupting the "Egghead" arc (in line with the adaptation of the manga by Eiichiro Oda) with new episodes that will only be broadcast starting from April 2025.

While waiting for the new episodes, its fans can set their eyes on One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga (in Japan from October 27), a special revised edition of the original narrative arc that presents the story of Fish-Man Island in a version of 21 episodes with improved images.

Synopsis: The Straw Hat Crew reunites in Sabaody! The long-awaited day has come. The pirates have managed to return to the Sabaody archipelago after two hard years of separation. In the same place, where they lost to Pacifista in the past, the crew has proven to be stronger and ready to begin the journey to the new world. With Thousand Sunny now able to navigate underwater, the next destination is Fish-Man Island.

On October 20, however, a special episode titled One Piece Fan Letter made by Megumi Ishitani & Masami Mori/Soty will be broadcast, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the anime.

Here is the teaser for this episode and the poster for the new version of the Fish-Man Island saga:
