The animated comedy The Amazing Maurice, a co-production between European studios, has the rare honor of being selected for the well-known Sundance festival. A new trailer below.
The feature film is based on Terry Pratchett's book The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, part of the famous world of Discworld , adapted into a screenplay by Terry Rossio (Aladdin, Shrek) and directed by Toby Genkel (Ooops! Noah Is Gone..., A Stork's Journey, Ooops! The Adventure Continues) and Florian Westermann. Produced by Sky Cinema, Ulysses Filmproduktion and Cantilever Group, the animations are produced by Studio Rakete and Red Star 3D.

The main character of the story is Maurice, a silly street cat who always has scams in mind to make money. One day he runs into an innocent looking boy with his horde of strangely literate rats and plans to use them for his purposes. Complicating matters will be an innocent-looking girl named Malicia.

A film that has a highest level voice cast, including Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, David Thewlis, Himesh Patel, Gemma Arterton, Hugh Bonneville, David Tennant, Ariyon Bakare, Rob Brydon and < b>Julie Atherton.

The film, expected during these Christmas holidays in the United Kingdom, has been included in the film list of the upcoming Sundance 2023 festival (January 19-29 in Park City, Utah), a rarity for a feature animated film.
