The next Pixar project takes us to the elements of the Earth. Pixar Animation Studios released yesterday the first information on their new feature film still in production. Below also a sketch. The title is Elemental, 27th film from the Emeryville studios in California, directed by Peter Sohn (The Good Dinosaur) and produced by Denise Ream (Cars 2).The story takes place in a world where the four elements (fire, water, earth and air) are alive and coexist side by side. The film will follow Ember, a fiery young woman made of fire, and Wade, a boy who follows the flow, composed entirely of water, and the unlikely couple that the two make up given the two totally opposite elements. In a press release, Sohn said that Elemental is inspired by his childhood growing up in New York City. "My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and built a vibrant grocery store in the Bronx", he reported. "We were among the many families who ventured into a new land with hopes and dreams, all of us mixing cultures, languages and beautiful neighborhoods in one big salad bowl. This is what brought me to Elemental".The film is slated to hit theaters around the world from June 2023, while the next one is Lightyear due out next month. Here the first artwork:[ Fra - source Polygon ].
