When a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend's life.The feature film directed by Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live), written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, based on a story by Barry Schwartz and produced by Mandeville Films and Walt Disney Pictures, mixes live-actions with animation, both classic two-dimensional and in CG, important elements precisely for the story.The hybrid live-action/CG animated film is made using different animation techniques, including CGI, traditional 2D animation and even stop-motion.
