Director Sylvain Chomet returns with Marcel Pagnol biopic. The brilliant French director Sylvain Chomet is ready to return to animated productions after more than ten years of absence. Below is the first informations on his new works.The visionary French director will return to theaters with The Magnificent Life of Marcel Pagnol (Marcel et Monsieur Pagnol), a biopic on the life of a leading figure in mid-20th century art: novelist and filmmaker who sold more than 150 million books worldwide. The film will tell his life through a dialogue between the protagonist as adult and child.The designs will reportedly change to reflect different eras of history. Pagnol's grandson gave the production access to exclusive archival footage of the man, which will be incorporated into the film.Producer ON kids & family (Mediawan) immediately jumped on board the project.
