Almost twenty years after the premiere of the anime Inuyasha, half-demon who has passionate fans all over the world, the sequel will soon arrive: Yashahime - Princess Half-Demon that the same author is working on.
And it is the same team that worked for years on Inuyasha in the legendary Sunrise studios, including the ingenious and award-winning author Rumiko Takahashi, called to draw the new characters.

The new stories will tell the journey beyond the time of the daughters of Sesshomaru and the one of Inuyasha. Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.
Ten years later the mysterious time tunnel is reopened allowing Towa to join Setsuna, who has now become a demon hunter. But Towa strangely has no memories of her sister. The two will leave on a journey to regain their past and Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, will join them.

The new series will be directed by Teruo Sato, with the script written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa, Yoshihito Hishinuma responsible for animation character design and Kaoru Wada author of the music, while the animations will be produced by the Sunrise studios.

The rights of the new anime have already been sold all over the world but there are no dates yet.

We remind you that the Inuyasha franchise has produced multi-million dollar grossing and excellent criticisms collected all over the world, included be in the list of The New York Times bestsellers of 2000s, with an anime adaptation of about 200 episodes.
