A new animated feature film produced in China broke the all-time animation debut record in a few days. A story about a Chinese mythological figure. Below the original trailer.
While the new version of The Lion King breaks records in US, in China the hero is instead Nezha.

The original title is Ne Zha Zhi Mo Tong Jiang Shi, all-time animation debut record in China with $91.5 million in the first week. The previous record for an animated film opening weekend was Despicable Me 3 with $66 millon. On Saturday Nezha earned $33 million breaking the single-day animation record in the country, previously held by Zootopia with $25 million.

At this point it will not be difficult to think that Nezha will break the record of an animated feature film in China, held by Zootropolis with $236 million.

Directed by Yang "Jiaozi" Yu, the film is also the animated production to be released in the IMAX version.
