The Lion King is back, with less live-actions and more animations

Read...
The many remake of the Disney continues with the classic The Lion King, which like 1994 film of the same name is made with animations, even if the studios wants to hide them.
Yes, because if it is presented as "live-action remake", has very little "live-action", since actors who act (humans or animals) are not there, but only real scenarios (even these appropriately modified).

The new movie, directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and written by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts and Linda Woolverton, is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Fairview Entertainment, with the special effects and animation produced by Moving Picture Company, under the supervision of Rob Legato.

No caricatures or stylizations but photorealism at the highest levels. This is what has been imposed on this new production. However, it is not possible to understand if Disney wants to convince us that the animals have really acted or explain that behind their movements there are actors captured through motion-capture. None of this has been done. The use of mo-cap is minimal and most of the work is simple 3D modeling animation.

The film will open almost everywhere in summer 2019. Here the first trailer:
