Jackie Chan will be a dragon for Sony Animation

Will be a Chinese-American co-production a new animated feature movie by Sony Pictures Animation with a magic dragon as main character. Below the first artworks.
Will premiere in 2019 the new movie titled Wish Dragon, new retelling of the 1.001 Night Genie in a Bottle story in a modern setting with voice of Jackie Chan.
Co-produced with chinese budget by Jackie Chan's Beijing-based Sparkle Roll Media Corporation, the China animation studio Base FX and a tecnical support of Sony Animation.
The movie is written and directed by Chris Appelhans, artist at work in animated feature movies like Columbia's Monster House and Laika's Coraline, in his debut as director.
At the moment the movie is expected to premiere in China next year after the summer and then in the rest of the world.
In 2018 Sony Animation will release Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation next summer and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse next Christmas.
