China's blockbuster Nezha 2 releases in Europe

The animated feature film Nezha 2, a box office hit in China and beyond, is coming to Europe. All the info below.

Nezha 2 (orig. Nezha: Mo Tong Nao Hai) is a feature film directed by Yu Yang and inspired by the 16th century Chinese story "The Investiture of the Gods".

The film has grossed over $2 billion worldwide, displacing Inside Out 2 (which stood at $1.7 billion) and ranking 6th among the highest-grossing films of all time. The top five spots are occupied by Avatar, Avatar: The Way Of Water, Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Titanic.

Now UK-based pan-European distributor Trinity CineAsia has acquired distribution rights from Beijing Enlight Media for Nezha 2 for 37 territories including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK & Ireland, Benelux and Scandinavian territories.

At the moment only the UK and Ireland dates have been announced: premieres March 13 and in theaters from March 21.
