Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback in theaters in April

We show you the new trailer and the visual of the new anime film of the young Detective Conan expected in theaters in his homeland in a few weeks.

Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback (orig. Meitantei Conan: Sekigan no Flashback) is the 28th film in the popular franchise that will hit theaters in Japan on April 18.

The previous film Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram [news], released in April 2024, is the franchise's record gross at the Japanese box office with 13.83 billion yen (about $88 million).

The film will take place in the snowy mountains of Nagano Prefecture. A visual shows Conan on a snowboard, as well as the character Yamato, a Nagano inspector with a wounded left eye, and Kogoro, the character whose last main role in a film was in the ninth film Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths in 2005.

The anime film is directed by Katsuya Shigehara (Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine) and written by veteran author of the franchise Takeharu Sakurai.
