First animations for the new Lupin the IIIrd The Movie
The first animations of the new Lupin Third anime have been released by the well-known Japanese distributor with the first information. Find the promo immediately below.
At the moment, the new film starring the famous gentleman thief created by the late Monkey Punch is simply titled Lupin the IIIrd The Movie and is expected in Japanese theaters in 2025.
Introduced simply with the emblematic phrase "You don't yet know the real Lupin III", the staff state the film will be the first new 2D feature-length anime film in the franchise in nearly 30 years, since Lupin III: Dead or Alive in 1996 (the subsequent productions of the franchise were not feature films, Lupin III THE FIRST in 2019 was in CG and other two were crossovers with Detective Conan and Cat's Eye).
The studios that produce it are always Telecom Animation Film (TMS) with the direction of Takeshi Koike (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen's Gravestone, Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon's Blood Spray, Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine's Lie), the screenplay by Yuya Takahashi (Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen's Gravestone, Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon's Blood Spray, Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine's Lie, Lupin the 3rd Part 6) and the music by James Shimoji.
