Ranma 1/2 new anime out tomorrow

The new anime Ranma 1/2, based on the manga of the same name by Rumiko Takahashi, will begin airing tomorrow. Below is a new and long trailer introducing it.

Ranma Saotome, the young sixteen-year-old martial arts expert afflicted by the singular curse that transforms him into a girl (like his father, who transforms into a Panda) after falling into China Cursed Springs, is ready to return after the manga written and illustrated by Takahashi in 1987 and the first anime produced in 1989.

The production of the reboot is entrusted to the studios Mappa, with the direction of Kònosuke Uda (One Piece: Dead End) the scripts written by Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon, Astro Note) and the character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi (Kurage no Shokudò).

The new episodes of the rom-com will begin airing in Japan tomorrow October 5 on NTV and worldwide on Netflix, which will air them simultaneously.
