The Simpsons - Season 36 opens with the.. series finale

The eternal animated television series The Simpsons began broadcasting the new season a few days ago with a very special episode.

Season 36 of the television series created by Matt Groening began with the episode "Bart's Birthday", broadcast Sunday, September 29 on the Fox channel, an episode indicated as the "series finale" even though it is only the first of the new season.

The story obviously plays with a possible ending if the series really came to an end, which is currently far away since it has already been renewed for season 37. The authors also admitted to having had an artificial intelligence generate the texts of the possible endings.

In the episode, Bart celebrates his 11th birthday, something that breaks the block of years that has lasted for 36 seasons and scares the birthday boy quite a bit.
