Max & the Midknights - Nickelodeon's young knights are coming

The new animated series produced by Nickelodeon is titled Max & the Midknights, expected next month. Below we show you the trailer.

The story introduces Max, a medieval girl who dreams of becoming a knight and battling dragons but must instead roam the countryside as an apprentice troubadour with her Uncle Budrick. After encountering a thief, Max and Uncle Budrick head to the medieval kingdom of Byjovia but soon discover that the town is nothing like Uncle Budrick remembers.

Max & the Midknights is a new CG series based on the best-selling book series by Lincoln Peirce, starring Star Trek: Discovery actress Blu del Barrio as the title character Max.

Animated at Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank, the series is executive produced by author Peirce himself along with Jane Startz (Ella Enchanted). Sharon Flynn (All Hail King Julien) and David Skelly (Toy Story 2) serve as co-executive producers and showrunners. The project is developed and overseen by Claudia Spinelli (Senior Vice President, TV Series Animation, Nickelodeon), Nathan Schram (Vice President, Development, Nickelodeon Animation) and Stephanie Alpert (Vice President of Production, Nickelodeon Animation).

The series will debut on Nickelodeon from October 30 with one episode released every Wednesday. Here is the trailer:
