The manga's story is set in Tonakishima, a small island with a population of 600. Hana joins the Broadcasting Club and experiences many firsts with the other members.

The television anime Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku (Flower and Asura) is based on the manga of the same name written by Ayano Takeda (Sound! Euphonium) and illustrated by Musshu, which ran in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in 2021.

The director is Ayumu Uwano at Studio Bind, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) writing the scripts and Kou Aine (Comet Freyline: Prologue) designing the characters.

It is scheduled to air on Japanese small screens in January 2025 on Nippon TV, BS NTV, and others.
