First images from Wit Studio's The One Piece anime reboot

Produced by Netflix, the reboot anime that will be a summary of the original One Piece manga and the very long anime currently underway, presents its first images.

The One Piece is the remake anime announced at Jump Festa '24 which, according to initial information, will start from the "East Blue Saga" and is made to celebrate the 25 years of the original anime by Toei Animation (still ongoing).

The staff that is making it has also been announced: the anime is directed by Masashi Koizuka (director of Attack on Titan) at Wit Studio, with assistant director Hideaki Abe (animator of Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet film and episode 5 of Suicide Squad ISEKAI). The lead animators and character designers are Kyoji Asano (Attack on Titan, lead animator for SpyXFamily) and Takatoshi Honda (animation director for the film The First Slam Dunk). The scriptwriter is Taku Kishimoto (Haikyu!!, Ranking of Kings), the art director is Tomonori Kuroda (A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun), and the animation producer is Ryoma Kawamura (Moonrise).

While we wait for further information and release dates, on the occasion of One Piece Day, Netflix has released a first production diary at the studios and the first images:
