New look at the CGI anime series Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance


The new work set in the world of Gundam made entirely with CGI animations is Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. Expected in October, it presents with the second official trailer.


The project is directed by German artist Erasmus Brosdau (Origin Zero, Warhammer 40,000's The Lord Inquisitor: Seed of Ambition) and written by Gavin Hignight (Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance), with Naohiro Ogata (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) and Hignight executive producers and Hiroaki Yura producer.

The designs of the main characters are the work of Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura, while Kimitoshi Yamane (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne and numerous Gundam projects) is the mecha design supervisor. Finally, the music is composed by Wilbert Roget II (video game Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris).

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is produced by the Japanese Sunrise and the Americans Safehouse studios with animations rendered using the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, the series consists of 6 half-hour episodes with the story focused on the European front during the One Year War made famous by the first anime of Gundam.
