New trailer for the film anime The Roses of Versailles

Expected in Japanese theaters in 2025, the new film starring the legendary manga and anime character by Riyoko Ikeda is presented with a new promo video.

In production for a few years, the film Gekijo Versailles no Bara (The Roses of Versailles Movie) is directed by Ai Yoshimura (Ao Haru Ride) at the MAPPA animation studio, with the screenplay by Tomoko Konparu, the character design by Mariko Oka (The Demon Prince of Momochi House) and the music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto.

The film is based on the Shoujo genre manga (mainly aimed at a female audience) published in the early 1970s which was followed by the 40-episode anime series produced between 1979 and 1980 and today available on some streaming platforms.

Expected in Japanese theaters in spring 2025, here is the new trailer and a new visual:
