Sauvages is the new stop-motion feature by Claude Barras

The new animated feature film by the director of the award-winning My Life as a Zucchini (Ma vie de Courgette - 2016) is titled Sauvages. The first promo below.

Presented at Cannes and Annecy, the film Sauvages is directed by Claude Barras and written by himself together with Nancy Huston and Morgan Navarro. A co-production between the Belgian studios specialized in stop-motion animation Beast Animation and the Swiss animation studios Nadasdy Film, together with the French producers Haut et Cour, the Swiss Hélium Films and the Belgians Panique!.

The story take us in Borneo, at the edge of the tropical forest, where Kéria is given a baby orangutan. With the forest under greater threat than ever, Kéria, Selaï and the little primate, Oshi, will have to face many obstacles.

Expected in theaters in France and Netherlands from October 16, here is the official teaser trailer:
