Netflix presents the English trailer for the anime The Imaginary
The new anime film will finally be available outside Japan in a few weeks. In the meantime, the platform presents the English trailer.
The Imaginary (in Japan Yaneura no Rudger) is the new anime and second feature film by the young animation studio Studio Ponoc founded by Yoshiaki Nishimura, born in 1977, a long-time producer working at Studio Ghibli.
The film tells the story of Rudger, a boy born from the imagination of the young Amanda that therefore no one can see and who lives in a world where the imagination can live and be eaten by others. An extraordinarily touching and beautiful hand-drawn fantasy film in which Rudger and his new friends from "The Imaginaries Town" embark on an adventure where the future and fate of those they love is at stake.
It is the adaptation of the book of the same name by A.F. Harrold and Emily Gravett, directed by Yoshiyuki Momose (former character designer of the Studio Ghibli) and produced by Nishimura.
