Promo for the anime Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin by P.A. Works

From video games for PC and consoles to anime. Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin is preparing to land on Japanese small screens this summer. Info and promo below.

Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin (Tensui no Sakuna Hime) is a video game produced by XSEED Games for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2020 where players take on the role of Sakuna, a proud but reclusive harvest goddess who is banished to a dangerous island with a group of outcast humans. Sakuna tames the island by defeating demons using farming tools as weapons and chaining her attacks with her "celestial scarf", a magical item that allows her to grab distant enemies and platforms.

The anime is directed by Masayuki Yoshihara (Komada - A Whiskey Family) at the P.A. Works animation studios, with the screenplay written by Jukki Hanada (Love Live! School idol project) and production by Shoji Soma (Shirobako, The Eccentric Family).

The series will debut on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on July 6, with the opening song "Seisei!" performed by Ikimono-gakari and the closing one "Origami" performed by Little Glee Monster.
