Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction lands on Crunchyroll


The anime project Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction divided into two films just released in Japan is preparing to arrive as a series on Crunchyroll.


The original sci-fi story revolves around the strange daily life of normal high school girl Kadode Koyama, her friend Ouran Nakagawa and others in a world where a giant spaceship has appeared over the skies of Tokyo.

The manga is the work of Inio Asano published on Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2014 and concluded in February 2022, awarded as Best General Manga at the Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2021 and at the Japan Media Arts Festival Awards in 2022.

The anime film, created by Production +h is directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Psychic Detective Yakumo, Break of Dawn, Dragonar Academy) and written by Reiko Yoshida (A Silent Voice, Violet Evergarden, Tamako Market). Nobutake Ito (The Tatami Galaxy, Kaiba, Kemonozume) is in charge of character design and animation direction, Mika Nishimura (assistant director of Dorohedoro) is the art director and Taro Umebayashi (Space Dandy, Yuri!!! on Ice) composes the music.

The two films of which the anime is composed were released in Japanese theaters in March and April respectively, while a few days ago the streaming platform Crunchyroll announced that it will distribute Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction worldwide starting this week in an anime series divided into 18 episodes which will include the two films and new footage.
