Grendizer U - the legendary robot from the 70s is coming back

The first teaser trailer of the anime titled Grendizer U has been released, a new series starring the legendary Japanese robots born over half a century ago.

The new production titled Grendizer U is shown with the first promo that lets us take a look at the design of the characters and robots (mecha) of the legendary UFO Robo Grendizer, the famous robot created by Go Nagai in 1975.

There isn't much information yet on the series, other than that it will be a reboot of the original 1975-1977 anime.

Chief director at GAINA studios is Mitsuo Fukuda (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Gear Fighter Dendoh), with master Go Nagai executive producer of the project. The screenplay is written by Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury), the characters are designed by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Wolf Children, Gunbuster 2: Diebuster) and music composed by Kohei Tanaka (One Piece, Sakura Wars).

The series will be released in 2024.
