Teaser trailer for the anime Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window

A new autobiographical anime comes with the first teaser trailer. Expected for Christmas at home, the title is Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window. Video and visuals below.

Shin-Ei Animatio studios present the first video of the anime based on the autobiographical memoirs of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi (orig. Madoigwa no Totto-chan) , a book published in 1981 which later became a best-seller that tells her story of going to school at Tomoe Gakuen, after not fitting at her original elementary school. She meets unique students and learns new things at school, even as Japan descends into war.

The director of the film is Shinnosuke Yakuwa (director of three Doraemon films), who also wrote the screenplay alongside Yosuke Suzuki. The author of the character design is Shizue Kaneko (Monster Strike The Movie, Adachi and Shimamura, How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord).

The film is scheduled for December 8 in Japanese theaters. Here is the first promo and a visual:
