Scarygirl - a fantasy world to save

The first trailer of the new feature film produced by Passion Pictures, already the protagonist of graphic novels, toys and video games, arrives from Australia. Below the trailer for Scarygirl.

Passion Pictures Australia bought the rights to the character created by Nathan Jurevicius back in 2004 for development into a film, but the project is only now coming to final productions stage.

Produced together with Like a Photon Creative and with animations produced by Brisbane studios Cosmic Dino Studio, the film is directed by Ricard Cussó and Tania Vincent, with a screenplay written by Polly Watkins, Matt Everitt, Les Turner and Craig Behenna.

Official synopsis: When her world is threatened by a loss of sunlight, a young girl must overcome her fears and journey to a fantastical city, save her father from a mysterious scientist and prevent the destruction of her planet.

The voice cast includes: Jillian Nguyen, Sam Neill, Tim Minchin, Anna Torv, Liv Hewson, Mark Coles Smith, Deborah Mailman and Dylan Alcott.

The film will premiere in Australia on October 26. Here the trailer:
