Akuma Kun - Black magic and demons in the new Netflix anime

A new anime will be available to subscribers of the well-known streaming platform later this year. It's titled Akuma Kun and below you will find the information and a first promo video.

Adaptation of the manga by the same name by Shigeru Mizuki, Akuma Kun has as its protagonist a young employee who one day is entrusted with the director's son who will have to tutor him in exchange of a promotion in the company. The child is called Ichiro and is a little genius who hides many mysteries. He is actually an Akuma-kun, a black magic expert who turned his previous tutor into a lizard and wants to open a portal between the human and demon worlds.

The general direction of the project is by Jun'ichi Sato (Aria the Animation, Sailor Moon), the same director of the previous television series and the two 90s films. Fumitoshi Oizaki (Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness, Romeo × Juliet) is the director of the episodes, Sakae Shibuya (Magical Girl Site) the character designer, while production is handled by Encourage Films.

The series, expected on Netflix within the year, is one of the projects to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shigeru Mizuki, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 93.
