New Kaijus - new series: GAMERA Rebirth

The well-known platform Netflix announces the arrival within the year of a new series starring the Japanese Kaiju monsters that the whole world knows by now. The first trailer below.

Gamera, the giant monster which has been beloved by Kaiju fans across the globe since the 1960s, faces off against five enemy creatures across six episodes in this new animated series.

With this premise, the distributor announces GAMERA -Rebirth-, an anime series made entirely with CG animations directed by Hiroyuki Seshita, written by Hiroshi Seko, Hiroyuki Seshita, Kenta Ihara and Tetsuya Yamada, with character design by Atsushi Tamura, music by Shuji Katayama and animation by studios ENGI.

The giant fire-shooting tortoise Gamera made her debut in the 1965 film Daikaiju Gamera (Gamera the Giant Monster) by Daiei, a franchise parallel to the better known Godzilla which today has 12 films.

The new series is expected to be distributed worldwide by Netflix within the year.
