Akira Toriyama's Sand Land in Japan theaters thanks to Sunrise

Another story of the legendary Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump and Arale, Blue Dragon) will hit Japanese theaters this summer. Below the first promo and the characters posters.

Sand Land was serialized for a short time from 2000 on Weekly Shonen Jump, in 2023 comes the animated adaptation with a feature film produced by SUNRISE, Kamikaze Douga and ANIMA mainly with CGI animations.

The story is set in a desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage, Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form a tag-team and set off on an adventure in search of the Phantom Lake somewhere in the desert.
