Final trailer for Makoto Shinkai's Suzume no Tojimari anime
The latest Makoto Shinkai film was released in Japanese theaters last weekend, immediately setting records and more. Below you will find the final trailer.
The film follows 17-year-old Suzume who lives in a quiet town on the island of Kyushu. She one day she meets a young man looking for a door. Following him she finds one standing isolated in a ruined landscape. These doors, which are appearing all over Japan, are wreaking havoc on the world. Suzume intends to close them all.
Suzume no Tojimari (literally Suzume's Door-Locking) is written and directed by Shinkai, alongside some of his historical collaborators such as Masayoshi Tanaka character design and Kenichi Tsuchiya animation director, and production at CoMix Wave Films and Story Inc. studios.
It is the first Shinkai film to be released in November, compared to the summer windows of the previous Your Name and Weathering With You, managing to surpass itself with a collection in the first three days of 1.88 billion yen ($13.5 million), 114.7% of his latest film and having to deal with the latest Marvel blockbuster.
