Second trailer for Makoto Shinkai's Suzume no Tojimari anime

The young and brilliant Japanese author and director Makoto Shinkai presents the second trailer of his new film, arriving in just over a month in the Japanese cinema.

Suzume no Tojimari (literally Suzume's Door-Locking) is written and directed by Shinkai, alongside some of his historical collaborators such as Masayoshi Tanaka character design and Kenichi Tsuchiya animation director, and production at CoMix Wave Films and Story Inc. studios.

The film follows 17-year-old Suzume who lives in a quiet town on the island of Kyushu. She one day she meets a young man looking for a door. Following him she finds one standing isolated in a ruined landscape. These doors, which are appearing all over Japan, are wreaking havoc on the world. Suzume intends to close them all.

After three years Shinkai returns to Japanese theaters on November 11, while the international distribution will be handled by Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures and Wild Bunch International (excluding Asia), which will take it around the world in 2023.
