Long preview of Science Saru's Tatami Time Machine Blues anime


The anime based on the novel by Tomihiko Morimi titled Tatami Time Machine Blues is shown in a new and long video.


Tatami Time Machine Blues (original Yojo-Han Time Machine Blues) is the sequel to the novel The Tatami Galaxy (Yojo-Han Shinwa Taikei) also written by Morimi.

Featuring animations produced by Science Saru studio, the television anime is directed by Shingo Natsume, written by Makoto Ueda and featuring character design by Yusuke Nakamura.

In the sequel novel's story, The Tatami Galaxy protagonist's trouble-making friend Ozu gets the student apartments' only air conditioner remote control wet, breaking it on a certain midsummer day. The students wonder what to do about the situation for the remainder of the summer and make a plan with Akashi. But the best opportunity comes with the arrives from 25 years in the future in a time machine of an unstylish male student, an opportunity that leads the protagonist to go back to try to recover the remote control before it breaks.

The first episode is already available on Disney+. One episode per week will be released for a total of five weeks, plus an extra original episode to the story of the novel.
