Anime adaptation for the videogame Collar x Malice
From video game to anime. A new title will have its own animated adaptation. Let's talk about Collar x Malice, of which we see a very first teaser below.
Idea Factory's Otomate brand announced earlier this week that the
visual novel romantico/suspence video game Collar x Malice, developed by Aksys Games, will have its anime adaptation directed to the big screens in 2023.
The game follows a novice police officer: Ichika Hoshino stationed in Shinjuku, Tokyo. As she comes home from work, she is attacked and a collar with poison is placed around her neck; later, she becomes involved in the "X-Day Incident", a series of murders perpetrated by a terrorist group called Adonis. Under the threat of death, Ichika is forced to investigate the X-Day incident along with a group of former police officers.
Released in 2017, versions of the game are available for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch also in English language.
