Two complementary science fiction stories that become two anime films
Two anime films produced by two different staffs and with complementary stories, are released on the same day as are the books from which they are based. below info and trailers.
A double project that has in common only the distributor, Toei, and the author: Yomiji Otono, a writer who in 2016 published two science fiction novels in which it is common to travel between parallel universes: Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e (To Every You I've Loved Before) e Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e (To The Solitary Me That Loved You).
Two stories that will become two films to be released in Japan next October 7 on the same day (visible without a specific order).
Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e centers on Koyomi Takasaki, a boy who lives with his mother after his parents divorce. He attempts to make friends in his new college prep school, but his social awkwardness combined with an atmosphere of focusing on studies means he is unsuccessful. One day, his classmate Kazune Takigawa approaches him, and tells him that she is actually from World Line 85, where she and Koyomi are lovers.
Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e centers on Koyomi Hidaka, a boy who lives with his father after his parents divorce. He meets a girl named Shiori Satō at his father's research lab, and they begin a relationship that is slowly blossoming into love. But everything changes when their parents decide to marry each other, and they decide to move to a parallel world where they are not stepsiblings.
The first film is directed by Jun Matsumoto at Bakken Record studios, while the second is directed by Kenichi Kasai at TMS Entertainment. Both scripts are written by Riko Sakaguchi (The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Mary and The Witch's Flower) and all character designs are done by Shimano.
