Po the panda and Jack Black are back with a new animated series
DreamWorks Animation studios yesterday announced the arrival of a new animated series, a new production set in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Below are the first images.
Yesterday, March 16, on the occasion of National Panda Day, the American animation studios announced the production of a new animated series entitled Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, produced in collaboration with Netflix.
Synopsis: When a mysterious pair of weasels sets their sights on a collection of four powerful weapons, Po must leave his home to embark on a search for redemption and justice by traveling the world with a very different ally: a English knight named Wandering Lama.
The series will see the return of the famous protagonist of the films produced in 2008, 2011 and 2016 that have grossed almost two billion dollars in box office, followed by the spin-off series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (3 seasons - 80 episodes) and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny (1 season - 26 episodes).
But this new series will also mark the return of the actor Jack Black in the role of the protagonist.
With executive producers Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian, and co-executive producers Chris Amuck and Ben Mekler, the series will be available to subscribers of the popular streaming platform in July 2022 (as announced by Jack Black on his TikTok channel).
